About the Event

A collaborative workshop presented by Andrea Zujko PT, DPT, OCS, COMT (Dance Medicine Education Initiative) & Marimba Gold-Watts (Articulating Body Inc. )

This course focuses on blending the fields of Physical Therapy and Pilates in the assessment and treatment of postural and movement impairments commonly seen in the pre-professional, recreational and professional dancer. Oftentimes, drivers of potential injury and/or obstacles in the rehabilitation process involve both local and distant but interrelated groups of body segments, connecting joints and muscles working together to control posture and perform movement. We have organized these patterns into clear, concise and even fun case scenarios that will aid the practitioners’ ability to address impaired movement throughout the kinetic chain.  Dates: Saturday March 13th 1-4 pm & Saturday March 20th 1-4 pm

Cost: $325 for both days/ $195 per date if purchased separately

Location: Class will be taught virtually through zoom. Recordings will be available for 30 days from the second date of the course.
